flea market

Yesterday I finally made it to the flea market, but it turned out to be a bit of a disappointment. I didn't get much stuff sold plus at the end of the day I noticed that my face and wrists were completely red. I remembered the sunprotection at the end of the flea market and that was too late. The highlight of the day must have been when I finally got my new Nintendo 3ds xl. But now I have no games to play. Well yes I bought a few of those Lego games because I got one game for free when I bought the console and the new Lego Batman 2 was the only proper game they had to offer. Today I try to find the new Kingdom Hearts -game, altough I'm not so thrilled about the DS-version. They totally should make a new Playstation version... But no.... Plus i'm not sure if I want to spend 60€ into a game that i'm not sure if I like it... Oh and "another" good thing was that I got one of my paintings sold, very cheap price of course, but still. I haven't put the picture of it here, because I didn't like it at all. Well I liked the idea (Peter Rabbit, from Beatrix Potter's book), but I always get frustrated with painting if it takes too long to get the work done... That's why I like drawing more...

Size A2!

I managed to get one A2 sized drawing ready. I don't like it but then again I don't hate it... It's just... Boring...

Large paper is better

This big paper is actually better than the smaller one. Now it doesn't bother if the cat wants to sleep on it when I draw or colour... Very convenient!

Productive Sunday

I've been very very productive today. As u can see, I have finished both of the chairs, the princess and prince's. They look awesome! And both of the chairs have a tiny paper mâché -crown. And the painting is very cool too. I used decoupage-technic and then I draw that picture and glued it to the canvas. it's very tiny painting, but soooooo cute! Yay me!

My very own cabinet

It is finished. Almost. I think. I'm not sure what to do to the wooden parts. Wether to paint or not. Or put more Donalds or not. I had some chalkboard-paint I wanted to use, but there's no point painting the backside with it when the cabinet is probably always against the wall...

Now isn't this the coolest cabinet you've ever seen? It's not done of course, but it already looks awesome! And it's all done by me! Even the cabinet. I made it like seven years ago. But this one I'm going to keep myself, this is not for sale. At least not now...

Next week buzzzzzy week

So next week im planning to go to a flea-market, to sell stuff and maybe MAYBE if i have time, to buy stuff. But mainly to sell. The problem is that i dont know if i have enough stuff to sell. At least im going to take my chairs or chair, if i cant get the other one done before the weekend. Im working my ass of by making a lot of Hama bead stuff, like keyrings, pins and door"signs". Well actually i dont do those doorsigns anymore, because i seriously cant get those properly heated and they just fall apart. But still i need to get something more to sell, not only my crafts, because last year when i also had one tuned chair, an old lady said that "maybe that chair is not a flea-market product", when she asked the price of the chair... sigh...

Finally!

Yep, it just needed a lot of glue and paste and now the paper mâché is a bit easier to work with. Now I just need to put my thinking cap on and start to make new objects... The mâché is still too runny so I can't make any 3d objects but I'm happy that I got this far...

Tuning chairs

These chairs were last summers projects. Now I have finally got some inspiration and I started to work with them. The blue one is quite finished, it just needs some polish so that the painting won't fade. After that there's the bigger problem, the pink chair, which I kinda ruined last summer with a paint that was already gone bad. Now I have to remove the old paint and then paint it all over again. Plus I have to figure out what picture I'm going to paint to it. Probably a castle or something, so that the two of them are a couple... ;)

Paper mâché

Today (actually I started yesterday) I was finally able to get my hands on to my paper mâché. I didn't have any actual recipe to do this, so I had no idea what was going to happen. But before I added the glue, my hopes were very very high. Now when I have used almost the entire "dough", I don't feel as good as before. I think it may have needed a bit more glue and a bit more rolling. But that's too late now. Tomorrow we'll see what happens. Or maybe Tuesday... Don't know... If u have a good paper mâché -recipe, please do share it with me...
